Plan of action	Following the successful celebration of World Environment Day 2026, Manipur Technical University plans to undertake regular plantation and maintenance of saplings within the campus, organize periodic cleanliness and environmental awareness programmes, promote waste reduction and sustainable resource management practices, and encourage active participation of students and staff in environmental conservation activities. These initiatives aim to strengthen environmental stewardship and contribute to the development of a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable campus.
Action Report	On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, a sapling plantation drive was conducted at the MTU Campus, Imphal, on 5 June 2026. The programme witnessed the active participation of the Vice-Chancellor, faculty members, officers, staff, and students. Saplings were planted at selected locations within the campus to enhance green cover and promote environmental sustainability. Participants were sensitized about the importance of environmental conservation, climate change mitigation, and the role of trees in maintaining ecological balance. The activity was successfully carried out with the collective efforts of all stakeholders, reflecting the university’s commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable campus environment.
