Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Conducts Two-Week In-House Internship on Basic Arduino and Sensors during 22nd June to 3rd July 2026
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Manipur Technical University, successfully organized a two-week in-house internship on “Basic Arduino and Sensors” for students of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical Engineering (EE) Departments of Manipur Technical University, Takhelpat. The programme aimed to provide participants with practical exposure to Arduino programming, sensor interfacing, and the fundamentals of embedded systems.
During the internship, students gained hands-on experience with Arduino hardware, software installation, programming, circuit design, and implementation. They learned to interface various sensors, including temperature, light, ultrasonic, and motion sensors, with Arduino boards and developed simple projects demonstrating real-time data acquisition, monitoring, and control. The sessions combined theoretical concepts with laboratory experiments, enabling students to strengthen their technical knowledge and develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
The internship also encouraged teamwork, creativity, and innovation through project-based learning, allowing participants to translate classroom concepts into practical engineering solutions. Overall, the programme successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. It inspired students to explore advanced areas such as embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), sensor technologies, and intelligent electronic systems, while reinforcing the department’s commitment to experiential learning, technical excellence, and industry-relevant skill development.
