The programme was conducted on 20th December 2023 at 1:00 PM in Room no. 101 of Academic Block – MTU. It was attended by total of 86 students of MTU ranging from 1st Semester to 7th Semester from all the Departments of the University. The session started with the speaker Mr. Moirangthem Bidyakanta Singh narrating how his motivation to start designing and fabricating a battery powered bicycle came to him. He also talked about the adversities he faced at the initial phase of his career and how he handled them to his advantage. He, further, elaborated on the various agencies through which one can get funding to promote such innovative ideas. He also talked briefly about the techniques of scaling up a small firm catering to a limited number of customers to an organization that has large number of customers and the difficulties and their solutions. He also encouraged the students to be innovative and share their ideas to others who have similar innovative mind or those who can support or guide them to nurture their ideas. Further, the speaker emphasized the students to have true and clear aim and objectives so that they can align themselves towards achieving their goals.
The final part of session was discussion on the various questions that the audience raised. The students raised various questions about innovation process and the speaker answered the questions.
The session ended with a vote thanks from the event in-charge, Mr. Asem Nabadavis (Start Up Coordinator, IIC MTU)
