Report on Interaction session with Victoria Yengkhom (IPS)

An interactive session with Victoria Yengkhom (IPS) was held on “women safety, cybercrime and disadvantages of drug uses” in the Girls’ hostel of Manipur Technical University. The main objective of the program was to make the students and staff of the hostel to aware with different types of problems affecting in society.

Objectives:

  1. To highlight the different types of common cybercrimes in the state.
  2. To aware of challenges and threats to women’s safety.
  3. Prohibition of using intoxication substance

Outcomes:

  1. Students and staff are aware of psychological and physical effects of drug additions.
  2. Side effect of peer pressure and substance abuse among youth.
  3. Various cyber threats, online fraud and identity theft were highlighted.
  4. Real life case study was discussed.

Total Number of participants: 41

Conclusion:

The session was concluded with question-and-answer round from students and staff. It was highly informative and well received by the participants. The students were highly motivated and intended to hold such type of program more in future.
