| Plan of action | The one-day workshop was conducted from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM without affecting regular academic activities. Students from various departments of MTU and other educational institutions were invited to participate. The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences coordinated with the resource persons to organize technical sessions covering high-paying technology careers, industry expectations, technical and soft skills, internship opportunities, placement preparation, and career development. Audio-visual facilities, registration, seating arrangements, and certificates were arranged in advance. The workshop also included interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions to maximize participant engagement. | ||
| Action Report | The One-Day Workshop on “Student Guide to High-Paying Tech Careers: Skills, Opportunities & Industry Insights” was successfully organized on 25th July 2026 by the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Manipur Technical University, in collaboration with MitSna Foundation. The inaugural technical session was delivered by Mr. Alson Wangkhem, Software Engineer, who shared valuable insights on high-paying technology careers, current industry trends, essential technical and soft skills, placement preparation, resume building, interview strategies, and career planning. The second session, conducted online by Mr. Monendra Ningthoujam from MitSna Foundation, introduced students to internship opportunities, application procedures, and the importance of gaining practical industry experience. Both sessions were highly interactive, with enthusiastic student participation during discussions and question-and-answer sessions. A total of 85 participants attended the workshop, including 43 participants from Manipur Technical University and 42 participants from other institutions, including NIT Manipur, Delhi University, Calcutta University, Pioneer Academy, Little Hearts School System (LHSS), Ling’s Jetty Language School, and MitSna Foundation. The participants comprised 53 male and 32 female students. The workshop concluded with feedback collection, certificate distribution, and a vote of thanks. | ||
| Outcomes / Impact of the activity | The workshop significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of career opportunities in the technology sector and strengthened their awareness of the technical and professional competencies required for successful employment. Students gained practical knowledge on internship opportunities, placement preparation, resume writing, interview techniques, and continuous skill development. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged active participation and career-oriented thinking. Overall, the workshop successfully achieved its objectives of motivating students to prepare for high-paying technology careers and improving their employability. | ||
