Highlights of the programme
The programme started with the installation and inauguration of a Water Cooler donated by Punjab & Sind Bank, Imphal Branch under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative was held on 24 June 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Old Academic Block of Manipur Technical University. The event was organized on the auspicious occasion of the 119th Foundation Day of Punjab & Sind Bank.
The programme commenced with the welcome of the officials from Punjab & Sind Bank, Imphal Branch and other distinguished participants. The representatives of the Bank highlighted the significance of the Bank’s 119th Foundation Day and reiterated its commitment towards community welfare and sustainable development through various CSR initiatives. They expressed their pleasure in contributing to the enhancement of basic amenities for the students and staff of Manipur Technical University.
The installation of the water cooler was undertaken with the objective of providing safe and hygienic drinking water to the university community. The newly installed facility is expected to serve students, faculty members, officers, staff, and visitors in the Old Academic Block and will significantly improve access to clean drinking water on the campus.
On behalf of the University fraternity, Dr. L. Debendra Singh, Controller of Examinations, Manipur Technical University, expressed sincere gratitude to Punjab & Sind Bank, Imphal Branch for their generous contribution. He appreciated the Bank’s initiative in supporting the University through its CSR programme and emphasized the importance of such collaborations in promoting student welfare and improving campus facilities.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Angom Devadatta Mani, Coordinator, Student Affairs, who facilitated the successful organization of the event in collaboration with the officials of Punjab & Sind Bank, Imphal Branch. The programme witnessed the active participation of faculty members, officers, staff, and students of the University, reflecting the collective commitment towards creating a better campus environment.
