On May 7, 2026, as part of the MBA program, Diana Gurumayum, Founder and Director of ‘My Kangla’ in Imphal, Manipur, delivered a guest lecture on Management Applications of Tourism and Funding Agencies.

The session, attended by 41 MBA students and faculties, explored management frameworks for leveraging tourism as a sustainable economic driver, including SWOT analysis, stakeholder engagement models, and digital marketing innovations tailored to Northeast India’s cultural heritage sites. Ms. Diana emphasized the role of key funding agencies like the Ministry of Tourism, TDB (Tourism Development Board), and international bodies such as USAID and ADB, detailing application processes, eligibility criteria, and success stories of grants funding eco-tourism ventures in Assam and Manipur.

Interactive Q&A sessions highlighted practical challenges like skill gaps in rural hospitality and policy alignments with SDGs, leaving participants equipped with actionable insights for project proposals and entrepreneurial pursuits in the tourism sector.
