Report on Mental Health Programme

The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Manipur Technical University, and the Indian Association of Private Psychiatry (College Mental Health Sub-Committee), organized a highly engaging and insightful Mental Health Program on the theme “Where Will I Be After Five Years” on 28th May 2025. The program was held at the New Academic Block of the university and commenced at 10:00 AM.

The core of the program was an engaging session conducted by Prof. R.K. Lenin Singh from the Department of Psychiatry, RIMS Imphal. Attended by around 200 participants, the session featured a live mental health quiz consisting of 30 questions that covered vital topics such as depression, drug addiction, emotional intelligence versus IQ, homosexuality, and more. Prof. Lenin encouraged participation from students, faculty, and staff, and addressed each question with insightful explanations aimed at dispelling common myths. The interactive nature of the session created an open and educational environment.

Manipur Technical University reiterates its commitment to fostering holistic student development and promoting mental health awareness through continued collaboration and inclusive academic programming.
