EVENT OVERVIEW –     The Workshop cum Internship on ‘Drone Technology‘ aimed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical exposure to modern drone systems, safety protocols, data acquisition techniques, and data processing methods. The program enhanced technical skills and created awareness regarding the application of drones in various sectors including surveying, agriculture, disaster management, and environmental monitoring.

Event Description

Manipur Technical University in collaboration with IQAC-MTU, MECH CLUB-MTU, and MEI LAK AE-MTU and supported by North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, organized a 10-day Workshop cum Internship on Drone Technology.

The program was divided into two major modules:
1. Drone Awareness Training – 5 Days covering drone fundamentals, components, working principles, safety regulations, and flight demonstrations.
2. Drone Data Acquisition and Processing – 5 Days covering data collection, aerial surveying, image processing, mapping, and real-time applications.

Participants were engaged in theoretical sessions as well as hands-on practical training to understand real-world drone applications.
