On 5th October 2024, students and faculty members from Chakpikarong Govt. Higher Secondary School, Chandel District, Manipur, visited Manipur Technical University (MTU) as part of an Internal Site Visit Programme. The visiting team included:
- Bongshel Lamkang – Principal
- Rajesh Kumarkar – Vice-Principal
- BD Lily – Teacher
- Seltun Sutha – Teacher
They were accompanied by 29 students, consisting of 11 boys and 17 girls. The purpose of the visit was to provide students with insights into one of the leading technical institutions in Manipur, exposing them to the university’s advanced scientific and technical facilities.
Despite the university being on holiday, dedicated faculty members from the Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering Departments, who were engaged in research work, warmly welcomed the visitors. These faculty members took the opportunity to interact with the students and teachers, familiarizing them with the university’s state-of-the-art laboratories and infrastructure.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the students and teachers to explore MTU’s educational environment and learn about the possibilities in the fields of engineering and technology. The university faculty’s dedication and willingness to engage with the visitors, even on a holiday, highlighted the institution’s commitment to promoting education and inspiring future generations. This interaction was a memorable experience, likely encouraging the students to pursue higher education in technical fields and broadening their academic horizons.
