MTU Library has been using Barcodes for Library cards since 2019. With the support and guidance of HOD, Computer Science Engineering Department, System Administrator, Lab Technician of MTU and along with the four (4) interns of Royal Global University (RGU), CSE department effectively developed and integrated Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology with the existing library management system (KOHA) for MTU Library. The project highlights interns practical knowledge and supports the University’s effort towards modern technology driven library services. From the academic session 2025-2026, students of MTU are issued Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) enabled ID cards, which are used for library access and serve as multipurpose cards.
