A Community Extension Program on “Energy Conservation for Local Communities” was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Manipur Technical University, on 2nd November 2025 at 2:00 PM at Nagaram Village, Imphal East, Manipur.

The session was attended by local community members, including homemakers and youth from the Nagaram area.

Aim and Objective
The main objective of the program was to educate and encourage local communities to adopt energy-efficient practices in their daily routines. The program emphasized the need for conserving energy resources to ensure sustainable development and reduce environmental impact. During the session, Mr. Haobam Jaillendro Khuman, Faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department, delivered an informative talk on energy conservation techniques, highlighting simple household methods to minimize energy wastage. He explained how awareness and responsible usage can contribute to national energy savings and environmental protection. The local participants actively engaged in discussions, shared their experiences, and expressed a keen interest in implementing the suggested measures in their homes.
