Event Description |
The Cleanliness and Plantation Drive – Extension Activity 2026 was conducted on 20th March 2026 at Kwarok Maring Village, Yairipok, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering for 8th semester students. The programme began with a brief orientation by faculty members on the importance of cleanliness, environmental conservation, and community participation. Students carried out cleaning activities in public areas and roadsides, followed by a plantation drive using saplings provided by the Central Forest Division, Mantripukri, Manipur. The event also included interaction with local residents to promote awareness of sustainable practices and was successfully completed with active participation from students, staff, villager and faculty. |

Plan of action |
The Cleanliness and Plantation Drive was planned and executed in a systematic manner. Before the event, permission was obtained from the concerned authorities and the village was selected as the activity site. Faculty members coordinated with local representatives and arranged necessary materials such as cleaning tools, while saplings were provided by the Central Forest Division, Mantripukri, Manipur. Students were briefed about the objectives, roles, and safety measures before the programme. On the day of the event, participants were divided into groups for effective management of tasks. One group carried out cleanliness activities, including waste collection and disposal, while another group focused on plantation in designated areas using the saplings provided. Faculty members supervised the activities to ensure proper execution.
