A Guest Talk was Presented on MINDFULNESS and EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE by Sophia Ngangbam, Founder “Be the You Foundation” at Department of Management, Manipur Technical University on 6th November 2025.
The presentation on mindfulness explored the concept, benefits, and practical techniques of mindfulness for enhancing well-being.
Key take away of the Guest Talk were :
Students were presented with the concept of Mindfulness, meaning being fully present and aware of one’s thoughts, feelings, and environment.
Techniques of mindfulness for stress reduction, improving focus, increasing self-awareness, and enhancing emotional regulation through breath awareness exercises, mindful listening, body scan meditation, and guided visualizations were also highlighted.
How mindfulness can be applied in daily life, workplaces, and educational settings to manage stress and improve relationships was also conveyed.
The presentation emphasized the importance of practicing mindfulness regularly to experience its full benefits. Participants were encouraged to integrate short mindfulness exercises into their daily routines for better mental health and productivity.
