A Five Days Training Programme on Google SketchUp® was organized by the Departments of Civil Engineering, Manipur Technical University under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP)-III from the 3rd March 2020 to the 7th March 2020. The training covers knowledge on theory and software applications for the subject Building Planning and Drawing.

Aim and Objective
The objective is to provide to students the knowledge on application of the software to create a 3D Architectural Model of Structures based on various bylaws and the need to to fulfil the requirements of diverse clients. It also aimed to understand the technical difficulties faced and limitations of existing technology to open up scope of research in the students’ minds.
Coordinator’s Statement
Simply studying theories, solving problems and designing on paper becomes insufficient if it is impossible to visualize and recreate. Visiting such projects help the students to actually see and observe what they have learned from the books and classes.

Event Outcomes with concluding remarks
The event saw participation by students of Manipur Technical University with very high degree of improvement in the said software.
