A one day awareness campaign was organised by the Department of Civil Engineering on 27th of January, 2019 at Sekmai, Manipur funded by the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program Phase III (TEQIP-III). The department faculties and the first year students of the university participated in the campaign. The awareness creation and action components taken up under this will contribute in achieving a clean and green environment.
About the Event
Topics ranging from solid waste management and pollution were covered in the campaign. Learning only inside the classroom is not sufficient, a proper field visit is also required for proper environmental education. In view of the environmental problems due to improper solid waste management, the activities of the campaign focused on the theme “Keep your environment clean and green”.
