Two Days Workshop on Building Planning, Design and Concept of Green Building

A two days workshop on “Building Planning, Design & Concept of Green Building” was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering on 30th and 31st of January, 2019 under TEQIP-III.

The workshop mainly focuses on the basics of building planning, design & concept of green building and its application in engineering fields. Building planning includes a plan of a site and its graphic representation of the arrangement of building, parking, landscaping and any other structure that is part of a development project. 

Aim and Objective

Various designs are introduced in today’s building construction. The aesthetic view of the building depends on the idea and the design made by the designer. The well interior design of a building helps to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the room. Due to the development of technology, the concept of creating a building which uses the natural resources to the minimal at the time of construction as well as the operation is essential.
