The 8th International day of Yoga was held on 21st June 2022 at Auditorium of Govt. Polytechnic. The event was attended by the Hon’ble VC of MTU, staff of MTU and students of MTU with the guidance of a well experience Yoga Instructor Ms. Sharungbam Rashree Chanu various yoga asanas and pranayamas were performed and the benefits of each of them were explained. The instructor also explained the why asanas as well as the pranayamas to be must be given equal importance. The event concluded with a speech form Hon’ble VC of MTU explaining the importance of yoga in our modern lifestyle.
After the yoga session, at painting competition on the theme “Yoga for Humanity” was held at the same venue. The competition registered a total of 21 participants. The competition witnessed the fine arts skills of the students of MTU. The winners of the painting competition are:
1st Johnbas Tourangbam, 2nd sem MBA (2102MB0106)
2nd Wilson Thangjam, 2nd sem EE (2101EE0227)
3rd Swatisri Thingbaijam, 4th sem CSE (2001CS0212)
The winners of the competition were handed over their prize and certificate by the Hon’ble VC of MTU.
