Greetings to all!

I am pleased to commence Academic Session of Manipur Technical University, 2023-24. The university over the last few years has engaged itself in capacity building both in term of infrastructure and human resource development. We have a mission to deliver not just a state/region-centric excellence but to contend for Global excellence in the years to come by imparting locally and globally relevant innovative academic programs, exerting inclusive and robust quality-focused teaching learning process. Our goal, to be the University Par Excellence in the region can be accomplished with our hard working and motivated students, supportive management and quality faculty members.

These are trying times, but the intuition to overcome the worst of circumstances exist in us. Notwithstanding the current situation, our desire to learn and the thirst for knowledge would show us the way. About Us

The Manipur Technical University (MTU) is the first technical university of the state established on 23rd April 2016 under “The Manipur Technical University Act, 2016” (Manipur Act No.8 of 2016). It is included in the UGC list of Universities under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 and empowered to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 through its departments. All technical institutions operating in the state will affiliate to MTU in due course of time. The university will be in the sixth academic session during the academic year 2021-2022. The process for accreditation under the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognition under All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will be taken up after two batches have passed out from MTU.
